Dudhia is the best site for river side campaign which is situated on the Mirik-Siliguri high way.Siliguri to Dudhia distance 26 Km.It is placed on the banks of Balason River.Dudhia is a very popular picnic spot amongst the people of siliguri and the surrounding areas.The way to Dudhia from either siliguri or Bagdogra is covered with forests and greenery on both sides of the road. GAJOLDOBA INQUEST OF BIRDS

Siliguri to Gajoldoba is about 32 k m . Last 20 km is smooth way . Arko my friend is accompanying me. We traversed through Mahananda sanctuary by keeping river Tista canal to our right . It is a pitch road on the Tista barrage . It took approx 45 minutes on our bike . The spectacular Scenic beauty gave us extra mileage . We were overjoyed . From the barrage as long as we stretched our vision , there were birds and birds on the firmament in a linear pattern ! An eye catching scene indeed ! River Tista from the north is flowing towards Haldibari to enter Bangladesh . The left side canal road is flowing towards Alipurduar . The right side road  reaches Jalpaiguri . We took a halt keeping our bike at some place . Hired a boat to visualize the birds , especially the long-tailed duck . Vast water body . In the middle and on right in the river are "Hogla" bushes . Hundreds of stiff-tailed ducks , some  great crested grebe and two pairs of radisel ducks were just in front of us...

Gorubathan

Gorubathan is a small town in the Kalimpong Subdivision of Darjeeling District. The place is about 90 km from Kalimpong town (via Lava) and about 59 km from Siliguri.Malbazar, Odlabari, Damdim, are the beautiful places on the way to Gorubathabn. Panch Pokhari, Organic Tea gardens,Samabeong and Mission Sakham jungle safari are all picturesque places in Gorubathan. CAUSE OF ATTRACTION  It is famous for its beautiful landscape  of the Neora River,hilly and alpine forests on the surrounding area.many picnic spot are there towards the both bankof the Neora River.There are ruins of small fort called the Dalim Fort which is situated on top a hill.As it is hill area this is the ideal place for trekking.
